Beautiful San Diego Condo, for Work or Play
Whether you’re a snowbird looking to experience everything sunny San Diego
has to offer, or an executive who needs a place to get down to business, our
exquisite condo will provide a place for you to call your own.
A Home Away From Home
The first thing everyone notices when they arrive is the beautiful
view of Balboa Park that dominates our home — the entire East wall is
floor-to-ceiling windows directly overlooking the park!
But our goal has been to create a home whose beauty lasts beyond first
impressions. The interior has been professionally designed and filled with
custom Argentinean furniture as pretty as it is comfortable. Hardwood
flooring has been installed throughout, and the kitchen upgraded with modern
appliances, granite counters, and beautiful wood cabinetry.
When you feel like staying in, the balcony overlooking the park provides
a great place to spend an evening. Large flat screen TVs have been installed
in both bedrooms and the living room when you feel like curling up and
watching a movie, and the baby grande piano provides a wonderful way to
entertain yourself and your guests.
An Office Away From the Office
The second bedroom has been equipped with all the convenience of a real home
office: a desk, high speed wireless internet access, a printer, legal size
file cabinets, and a small conference table.
Floor-to-ceiling windows let the sunshine in and provide an amazing view while
you work. A wall-mounted TV can provide live market conditions, if needed.
Security and Convenience
For those with their own transportation there is gated underground parking.
The building requires special electronic keys to gain entry, and is monitored
by a security service. There is a directory and phone in the lobby through
which visitors may call up to your condo and be buzzed in from your phone.
Each floor also has its own modern, top of the line washer and dryer (free to
the occupants of the three condos on that floor) and a convenient trash chute
for trash disposal.
A Day of Fun
With Balboa Park right across the street it’s hard not to find some neat
way to spend your day. You could visit
the Giant Pandas at the Zoo, stroll through the many
botanical gardens, have a picnic, play some golf, or
visit the art, science, automobile,
model railroad, aerospace, photography,
anthropology, sports, natural history, and
other museums all within walking distance! The number of things to do
in the park is rather intimidating, but they sell
all-in-one passports if you’re determined to see it all.
But we like the neighborhood best because it’s so close to all the other
neighborhoods. A mile south down Sixth Avenue will take you to the
Gaslamp Quarter, the Horton Plaza mall, and
Petco Park. A mile north and you’re in Hillcrest,
where quaint shops and restaurants of every ethnic cuisine are represented.
Another favorite is the waterfront, where you can
go whale/dolphin watching or take a harbor cruise, go aboard
everything from a tall sailing ship to an aircraft carrier at
the maritime museum, or visit Seaport Village and do
some tourist shopping and get a bit to eat. A visit to
Old Town will get you into the Mariachi spirit of things, and also
give you a glimpse of early San Diego history.
The Horton Plaza mall is the closest shopping mall, and
Fashion Valley is a ten minute drive away. If you’re a bit more
adventurous, a ride on the famous San Diego Trolley line will take you to
the Mexican Border.
A Night on the Town
Both the Gaslamp Quarter and Hillcrest provide great
night-life, with many clubs, bars, and other entertainment to choose from.
Literally just down the street The Old Globe theatre complex, said
to be a scale replica of Stratford on Avon, features plays and musicals of the
off Broadway genre in two small intimate theatres.
Broadway San Diego at the Civic Center Theatre lives up
to its name by showing Broadway style shows, and the
San Diego Symphony Association performances are always rated top
quality. Both are just a mile south of our condo!
